I’ve photographed Maria several times since meeting her in 2018. She is one of the smartest, most talented, and beautiful people I have the privilege of knowing. I was so happy when she responded to my call for subjects to photograph for my new Positive Light Images brand. The image here is the first I’ve edited from my recent session with her, and features one of her magnificent headpieces. The low resolution image just doesn’t do it justice.

PASSION / LIFE GOALS:
I have different passions, but I think my oldest has always been fashion design and everything that goes with it. I started when I was just a little girl. My mom taught me a simple back stitch and how to sew a button, and that just opened a new world of possibilities where all my imagination could come to life. I still do it, it’s just part of who I am. I don't have all the time I would like to dedicate to this, but I try my best to find it.

I'm a happy single mom with two amazing children, and motherhood and loving them is definitely another of my biggest passions that defines me. I try everyday to grow kind, emotionally intelligent, positive and resilient children.

My job is also my passion. I love helping people with communication to give them the autonomy and equality in this country.

BUSINESS SPECIALTY / SERVICES:
My specialty as a designer varies. I designed wearable clothes since I was a child but for the past years I ventured in the world of headpieces and more dramatic fashion with mostly photography purposes. I gravitate between the whimsical fantasy of either dark and romantic or light and Victorian; both extremes are very mesmerizing and beautiful. I can rent the pieces (headpieces, neckpieces, big tulle skirts, wings, etc) or do custom pieces. Imagination and concepts have no limit!
