As much as I look forward to working with you, the truth is, I may not be the right photographer for you, and that's okay.
My goal is for you, your family, and me to all have the best experience possible. Portrait sessions are personal, and we should both feel comfortable and at ease throughout the process. Many of the people I've photographed have become more than clients, they've become friends. I want that same experience for you.
Skill, talent, and a strong portfolio matter, but they aren't the whole story. For a session to feel right, our values and approach need to align too. If you agree with most or all of the statements below, chances are we'll get along beautifully, and your session will be something special.

WHAT TO EXPECT
STEP 1: LET'S CHAT AND GET YOU BOOKED
It all starts with a fun, no-obligation conversation, by phone or Google Meet, whichever you prefer. We'll talk about your goals for your session: how you'll use the images, what you want them to say about you and your family, and your timeframe and budget. I'll walk you through my pricing menu so you can pick the option that feels right for you. Then, if you'd like to move forward, we'll pick your session date, time, and location, and you'll reserve your date with the booking retainer, paid easily by credit card over the phone.
STEP 2: GETTING YOU READY
Once you're on my calendar, I'll send you my Portrait Session Preparation Guide, packed with simple tips to help you look and feel your best. We'll also hop on a quick pre-session call to talk wardrobe, hair and makeup ideas, and any fun props you'd like to bring into the mix. I don't provide hair and makeup services, but I highly recommend booking those services before your session. It makes a wonderful difference and helps you feel confident and camera-ready.
STEP 3: SESSION DAY, THE FUN PART
I'll arrive at least 30 minutes early to set up lighting and backdrops, so everything's ready when you are. Just show up about 15 minutes before we start so we can do any last-minute wardrobe touches together. From there, I'll guide you through poses and expressions that are easy to follow and genuinely flattering. My goal is for you to feel relaxed, look amazing, and enjoy every minute.
As we shoot, your images will stream to my iPad or laptop in real time, so we can check them together and fine-tune poses and lighting along the way. That means what you see is exactly the vision you had in mind.
Right after your session, we'll sit down and look through your images together so you can choose your favorites. Plan for about an hour for this part, it's one of my favorite pieces of the whole experience. We'll then get your in-person Ordering appointment on the calendar.
STEP 4: THE BIG REVEAL
This is the exciting part. You'll see your beautifully edited, retouched images for the first time, browse my product options, and choose your favorite print products to order. From there, I'll design your album and/or wall art (allow up to two weeks) and send everything off to my trusted professional print labs. Most products ship back to me within about 10 days, though timing can vary a bit depending on what you order.
STEP 5: DELIVERY DAY
Once your products arrive, I'll reach out to schedule a time to hand-deliver them to you personally. It's one of my favorite moments! If you ordered digitals only, you'll get a download link as soon as your images are edited and ready to go.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I bring a friend or family member with me?
Absolutely. We’ll even take a couple of group shots, if you’d like. But if your guest(s) would like individual images of themselves, they will have to book their own separate session.
Do you offer hair and/or makeup services?
No. But, I do highly recommend that you have your hair and makeup professionally done prior to your session to ensure you look your absolute best.
What should I wear to my session?
Choosing outfits is one of the most important aspects when preparing for a portrait session. But don't worry, I've got you covered. Once you book your session, I'll send you my detailed Portrait Session Preparation Guide with tips on choosing outfits, hair and makeup tips, and do's and don'ts to consider before your session. I'll also be glad to jump on a call or Google Meet to help discuss wardrobe ideas.
Will you help me pose so I don't look like awkward?
Absolutely! I'll guide you through poses and expressions that are flattering and that will help you look your absolutely best.
Do you offer albums and wall art?
I sure do! In fact, I am a full-service portrait photographer, meaning, I offer a wide range of print products, including albums, folio boxes, gift prints, and wall art, all of which I can show samples of. I even offer design and production of Christmas ornaments and holiday cards, among other items. Feel free to ask about for any products you're interested in. I'll be glad to give a quote, and if possible, show samples that I may have on hand.
