ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Yvette Freeman, owner of Red Angle Photography, based in western North Carolina. I offer various types of photography services -- including individual and volume headshots, branding, real estate, and product photography -- on-location, wherever you are.

I'm a native of Winston-Salem, NC, and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Bennett College in 1990. I have nearly 10 years experience as a professional photographer; and despite being self-taught, I am so proud to say that within three years of starting my photography business, I became an award-winning portrait photographer, earning 18 awards from The Portrait Masters Image Competition between 2019 and 2021. In 2023, I became an internationally recognized photographer when I earned an Honorable Mention award for one of my images in the prestigious Prix de la Photographie Paris juried awards competition, based in Paris, France. And, in the spring of 2025, I was one of 22 finalists, out of 22,000 submissions, in Behind the Shutter’s Top Talent Image competition. My work has been published in the Montford & North Asheville Neighbors magazine, Edible Asheville, and The ENVOY Guide.
